Learners of the Week
WEEK ENDING 8th NOVEMBER 2019
Year 6: Bobbie is our Learner of the Week. His maths work has been impressive this week. We have been working on formal methods for multiplication and division. Bobbie has retained previous skills well and extended this further this week. Well done Bobbie!
Year 5: We have two Learners of the Week: Lila and Erin.
Lila showed great knowledge in our RE lesson this week. She has been a super ‘Curious Cat’ and was keen to answer questions posed and share her ideas. Well done Lila!
Erin has been a great ‘Have a Go’ Gorilla this week in our maths lessons. I know maths isn’t her favourite subject but she has been open to new methods to develop her maths skills further. Well done Erin!
Year 4: Our Learner of the Week is Molly. Molly has been a persevering Parrot this week by really trying her best in all lessons. She worked hard over half term on her spellings ready for today’s test, she has been doing lots of reading and even though she was nervous about reading aloud in our class assembly, she practised hard and did a fantastic job! Well done!
Year 3: Our Learner of the Week is Rosie. Rosie has been a busy Bee this week by working hard and completing her work in all lessons. She has also been helpful around the classroom and keen to be involved in our class assembly. You have showed a great attitude to school this week, well done! Great work!
Year 2: Our Learner of the Week is Elodie. I am impressed at the ‘perseverance’ Elodie demonstrates in her work. It is pleasing to see her beginning to enjoy the challenges she is given. Well done Elodie!
Year 1: This week Mackenzie is our Learner of the Week. It is really pleasing to see Mackenzie ‘having a go’ at all activities and learning from any mistakes that he makes. Keep up the hard work Mackenzie!
Year 1: Taylor has done some brilliant writing this week. He has been working hard on how to spell words and to write in sentences. He was also able to think of some fantastic ideas to use ‘firework’ writing. Well done Taylor!
Reception: Lucas has been working hard on learning his letter sounds and this week he showed that not only could he remember some of the sounds that we had been working on, he is also beginning to hear and say the sounds that he hears at the beginning of words. Well done Lucas!
Nathan (Year 6)
George (Year 4)
Both of these children have been working hard to practise their maths skills using Mathletics this week.
Times Tables Rock Stars
Our winners this week are Year 4!
They have been the most active year group on TTRS over the last 2 weeks (over the half term and this first week back). Well done Year 4! Keep this up.
Nathan (Year 6) is our winner of the Caring Cup this week. A younger child in the school was trying to go into the school hall but was pulling on the wrong door handle. Nathan observed this and walked up to her and explained which door needed to be used to get into the hall. He did this in such a kind and helpful manner. Thank you Nathan and well done!
