At Shillingstone CE Primary School we are committed to offering our children a stimulating, enriching and challenging curriculum that fosters a love of learning whilst preparing them for the next part of their personal learning journey.
It meets the legal requirements of the New National Curriculum September 2014.
The overview below maps out the units of work and subject areas taught throughout the academic year.
Every class sends home a curriculum letter every term. This informs parents and carers about the learning that will take place in the class during that term. Please visit the class pages to read our Curriculum letters.

Homework is always linked to the work being carried out in the classroom and allows children to consolidate and reinforce skills and knowledge being taught in school. Regular homework is set within each class and a timetable is always sent home to parents.
