Update 12/06/26:

Thank you to everyone who bought an ice cream or lolly on Frozen Friday. We will continue with this on a Friday for the rest of term. Thank you for your support and please let us know what your favourite ice cream was!

Father’s Day Sale – Wednesday 17th June

We will be holding a Father’s Day sale in the school day for the children to come and buy a little gift. Please send your children in with some money.

Rocket Launch Day – Monday 20th July

We have a very exciting end of term treat and have a rocket being launched form the school field as well as a day of space themed activities. The PTA are funding the majority of this, however, to make it viable we will need to ask parents to donate £3 per child for this experience. All parents are welcome to join in to see the rocket being launched in the afternoon.

Jungle Class Garden

The team at Big Yellow Bus have been busy with their plans to re-vitalise the Jungle Class garden and have already made a start on some equipment. Please see the plans below for an idea of how the garden will look once finished. A big thank you to BYB and the anonymous donations that have made this possible. We will be organising a working party on a weekend morning – watch this space!

We have lots of fun things happening this term. Thank you for your support! We have some exciting plans in place for the Summer Term and beyond.

Movie Night – Wednesday 11th March 4:30PM – 6:00PM, £1.50 per child

Join us for a fun filled evening with some great films, friends, and popcorn! The children are deciding on the films in their classes so there is sure to be something for everyone!

If any parents would like to volunteer to help out, please let us know.

Mothers’ Day Sale – Thursday 12th March

The PTA will be holding a Mothers’ Day Sale for all children during the school day. We have a selection of gifts for the children to choose from in exchange for a donation. Please bring in some money; suggested donation of £1 – £5. Thank you!

Easter Bingo – Saturday 21st March – 6:45PM Portman Hall

Our big event this term is the Easter Bingo on Saturday 21st March. Lots of plans have been made, but we could do with some help with prizes, so here is a bit of a plea 😊

Do you run a business or know someone who does? Would you like to make a cash donation for prizes at the Easter Bingo in return for a special mention at the Bingo and in our social media? Remember, a donation to the PTA is tax deductible and goes directly to benefiting the children. Thank you!

Alternatively, do you have some (unopened) bottles from Christmas? A box of chocolates that aren’t your favourites, or maybe even a gift set that is in the back of the cupboard? Any donations of items that could be used in hampers would be really welcomed! There will be a box left for donations near the front door or please pop them into the school office. Thank you so much for your help with this.

We really want to raise as much as we can at the Easter Bingo and continue our on-going commitment to providing equipment and experiences for the children, so your help is really appreciated. Please do speak to a committee member if you have any questions or ideas.

Update 06/02/26:

Thank you for your continued support of the PTA and fundraising. With your generosity we have been able to give each class £500 to spend on the things they need this year. So far these are some of the things the money has been spent on:

Jungle Class have new mixing tables, sand and gutter stands, and mixing tools.

Woodland Class have a new sandpit and mud kitchen with new toys, and they also have chosen to have some comfy bean bags for the classroom

Desert Class have new atlases for their geography topic, as well as kinetic sand, and new bean bags.

The PTA have also bought new bikes and trikes for all the children to use at playtime.

Next week we have two exciting events on:

Thursday 12th February – As a big thank you the PTA will be treating the children to pancakes and toppings during the afternoon at school – yum!

Friday 13th February – Valentines Sweet Sale – There will be bags of sweets for sale for £1 each at 3:15pm in the playground. Please note it is only 1 bag per school child!

Our next meeting is on Thursday 26th February at 2pm in school – all welcome!

Update 12/12/25:

Thank you SO much for all the support this past month, our Big Christmas Raffle has raised a whopping £766.67!! What an amazing amount to go towards future events and resources for the children. Please see below a thank you to all who have donated prizes and supported us. We must also give a shout out to all who entered the Great Christmas Bake Off we had 20 amazing entries and they all looked fabulous.

We look for forward to rounding up the end of the busy term with the children’s Christmas Party on Wednesday with a visit from the circus – all classes will have a session in the hall learning circus skills during the morning followed by a whole school circus performance in the afternoon! No need for lunchboxes as we have a yummy spread of party food planned and even a visit from the man in red himself.
